The body may appear calm, but inside, tensions war. Tension Intérieur is about the gap between what is shown and what is felt, between the face we show the world and the churning depths beneath.
This is the body as a site of contradiction. Holding opposing truths simultaneously. The figure is composed outwardly yet turbulent within.
The gaze that sees Tension Intérieur is one that recognizes this fundamental human condition, the way we are divided against ourselves, the way the body must contain multitudes.
