Contained Tension speaks to the exhaustion of resistance, the toll of maintaining control. The figure is compressed, concentrated, a bundle of unexpressed emotion.

Yet there is also strength here. The body that contains itself is not broken. It is simply being asked to bear weight. The gaze that meets this figure must see both the strain and the dignity in the effort to hold on.
